The Giant Revolt Advanced Pro 0 is one of those bikes capable of blurring all boundaries: gravel race, endurance bike, fast adventure machine… It can do it all, and above all, it does it remarkably well.
Designed to go fast on smooth terrain, stay stable when the surface deteriorates, and remain comfortable over long distances, the Revolt Advanced Pro 0 is aimed at cyclists who refuse compromises and want a single bike for all their riding styles.
At Baroudeur Cycling, we've ridden it, configured it, and adapted it on roads, gravel, and varied terrains during our trips in Portugal and France. Here's our complete analysis, straightforward and honest, based on several hundred kilometers in real conditions.

The first element that immediately stands out: fully integrated internal routing with brake hoses running through the headset, just like on the high-end Giant TCR and Defy models.
No visible cables, no exposed housing. Everything runs cleanly through the stem and into the head tube.
The result:
This technical choice isn't purely aesthetic: it genuinely contributes to aerodynamic efficiency while facilitating maintenance thanks to optimized wheel stops that considerably simplify wheel installation.

The storage compartment located in the down tube, below the bottle cage, represents one of the most intelligent innovations of the Revolt Advanced Pro 0.
Careful construction:

👉 Our pro tip: We systematically slip a 20€ bill in there. In case of a major flat, an impromptu café stop in the village, a lifesaving bakery after 80 kilometers, or an unexpected backup solution… this bill can literally save the ride. Simple, effective, field-tested.
Everything stays stored, silent, instantly accessible — without a bulky saddle bag or a backpack that makes your back sweat.

Giant has significantly improved frame protection compared to previous generations:
These details may seem minor, but they significantly extend the aesthetic and structural lifespan of the frame, particularly during intensive use on rocky paths.

This is the true technical signature of the Revolt since its creation, now in its fourth generation.
Each rear dropout integrates an eccentric flip-chip, adjustable with standard Allen tools. The manipulation takes less than five minutes with practice.
Procedure:
Nothing complex, nothing exotic. Any amateur mechanic can perform this modification.

In summary: You adapt the bike to your terrain and usage, not the other way around. This modularity represents a considerable advantage for cyclists practicing varied disciplines.

Frame: Advanced-grade Composite
Fork: Advanced SL-grade Composite
Total weight of tested bike: 8.34kg (size L, complete SRAM Force AXS configuration, with pedals, tubeless sealant, bottles)
This remarkably contained weight places the Revolt Advanced Pro 0 among the lightest gravel bikes on the market in this price range, while maintaining robustness and versatility.
Giant maintains a geometry that remarkably combines great maneuverability with a relatively compact position, directly inspired by its legendary TCR.
Head tube angle: 72° (steep for gravel)
Seat tube angle: 73° (road/endurance style)
Baroudeur Interpretation:
The generous stack (616mm in L) places the handlebars relatively high, creating a comfortable position over long distances. Cyclists seeking a more aggressive position will appreciate the ability to easily remove spacers under the stem.
The moderate reach (397mm) maintains a balanced posture without excessive stretching, ideal for endurance.
This geometry places the Revolt at the fast and nervous end of the gravel spectrum rather than an extreme bikepacking-oriented gravel bike.

The Revolt Advanced Pro 0 integrates Giant's D-Fuse SLR carbon seatpost, with its characteristic "D" profile.
Technical operation:
On our long-distance rides (100km+ on mixed gravel), the D-Fuse demonstrated real effectiveness in reducing lower back fatigue and maintaining comfort even after several hours in the saddle.

The Giant CXR 1 Carbon Disc Wheel System is one of the major strengths of this Revolt.
Giant stated weight: 1398g per pair (without tires)

Field behavior:
The lightness of these wheels literally transforms the bike's behavior:
The 54-point engagement freehub system (from DT Swiss) offers immediate responsiveness from the first pedal pressure — particularly appreciable in technical gravel where repeated re-accelerations are frequent.

Giant now equips its Revolts with Cadex GX tires in 700×40c, tubeless ready, mounted tubeless from the factory.
Major evolution: These tires replace the old Giant models and offer:
Observed performance:
On rolling gravel and maintained paths, these tires excel with an excellent speed/grip compromise. On roads, they roll surprisingly well by simply increasing pressure by a few PSI.
Identified limitation: In thick and sticky mud conditions prolonged (after heavy October rains), the tread can saturate. For predominantly very muddy usage, tires with more widely spaced knobs would be preferable.
Baroudeur advice: Keep a quick inflation pump in your equipment. Going from 1.8 bar (gravel) to 2.5 bar (road) in a few seconds transforms the bike's behavior for paved sections.

At Baroudeur Cycling, we very frequently use the Revolt Advanced Pro 0 in road configuration during our mixed gravel/road trips in Portugal and Southern France.
The Revolt Advanced Pro 0 transforms into a remarkably high-performing fast endurance bike:
Strengths:
The only minor downside:
The 43/30 × 10-36 gearing, perfectly suited to gravel, can prove slightly limiting in very fast descents if you're looking to power hard beyond 55 km/h.
For intensive mixed gravel/road usage, a 46 or 48-tooth chainring could be considered, although this would compromise loaded mountain capabilities.
Beyond this marginal limitation: Exceptional combo. A single frame, two radically different uses, high performance in both disciplines.

This is clearly the environment where the Revolt Advanced Pro 0 shines most intensely.
Observed characteristics:
On fast gravel courses, gravel race style (maintained forest trails, compacted agricultural tracks, fluid white roads), the Revolt provides sensations close to a road bike while perfectly absorbing terrain irregularities.
With the right configuration (long position + 40-50mm tires with generous volume), the Revolt Advanced Pro 0 becomes very reassuring even when terrain significantly deteriorates.
Behavior:
Realism: It obviously doesn't try to imitate a hardtail MTB on very committed singletrack. But it remains stable, predictable, and comfortable, even when terrain becomes frankly demanding with ruts, roots, and protruding stones.
For regular technical gravel, the Revolt X (more adventure-oriented version with adapted geometry) is the more natural choice. But the Revolt Advanced Pro 0 defends itself honorably and surprises with its capabilities beyond its initial "gravel race" positioning.
It's on long rides (100-150km, 5-8 hours in the saddle) that the Revolt Advanced Pro 0 fully reveals its potential.
Long-distance assets:
Design philosophy: A bike clearly designed to string together hours in the saddle with pleasure, not just to blast Strava segments for 3 minutes.
During our tests on 3-4 day bikepacking routes (front/rear panniers, long position, 45mm tires), the Revolt proved remarkably at ease, maintaining comfort and maneuverability despite additional load.
✅ You want a fast and high-performing gravel bike, not a soft and sluggish bike
✅ You ride on varied terrain (paved roads, forest tracks, rolling gravel, occasional technical paths)
✅ You're looking for a versatile bike that's genuinely high-performing in each discipline, not a mediocre compromise
✅ You want to travel light, ride long, and maintain riding pleasure until the last kilometer
✅ You refuse to have 3 different bikes for 3 practices (gravel race + road endurance + light bikepacking)
✅ You appreciate intelligent technical innovation (flip-chip, integrated storage, seatpost modularity)
✅ You're looking for excellent value in the premium segment (£5599 / €6800 / $7000 for Force AXS specification and carbon wheels)
❌ You're looking for an "extreme" gravel oriented toward very committed singletrack MTB-style (favor the Revolt X)
❌ You want a bike exclusively oriented toward ultra-loaded multi-week bikepacking (wheelbase a bit short even in long position)
❌ You're seeking an ultra-upright position for maximum comfort (generous stack but rather sporty geometry)
❌ You ride only on paved roads (a true road bike would be more relevant)
The Giant Revolt Advanced Pro 0 stands out as one of the best versatile gravel bikes currently available on the market.
✔ Speed: Contained weight (8.34kg), ultra-light wheels, nervous geometry
